Episode 3
In Episode 3 of Dr. Stone: Science Future, titled “Corn, Hamburgers and Bullets”, the Kingdom of Science finally makes landfall in North America, specifically near the remnants of San Francisco. Upon arrival, they encounter petrified human statues scattered along the cliffs, some damaged or incomplete, hinting at the catastrophic events that transpired during the petrification phenomenon.
As the crew explores the area, they are attacked by a swarm of giant American crocodiles. The combat team successfully fends off the reptiles, providing a much-needed source of meat. They prepare crocodile burgers, which are met with enthusiasm, especially by those unfamiliar with such cuisine.
While examining one of the crocodiles, Tsukasa discovers a piece of yellow corn in its stomach, confirming the presence of corn in the vicinity. Senku explains the importance of corn for producing alcohol, a key component in creating revival fluid. However, he expresses concern about the limited availability of corn, which could hinder their plans to revive more people.
Later, Kohaku notices corn kernels floating in the river, raising suspicions about their sudden appearance. Senku contacts the Perseus to monitor for more corn downstream. Unbeknownst to them, they are being watched by a mysterious individual who swiftly eliminates nearby wolves, showcasing formidable combat skills.
As night falls, the team sets up camp, and Senku uses a light trap to attract and study local insects. They capture European corn borers, indicating a nearby corn supply. Suddenly, Tsukasa senses imminent danger, and the group comes under machine gun fire from an unseen assailant. They manage to retreat, realizing they are not alone and that formidable enemies await them in America.
